Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition.

One of the creative method use to attract people by placing two variable side by side based on the contrast and similarity through comparison.This term usually use in a lot of presentation and it is one the creative process made to transfer meaning to people.Ms.Mustafa given us some example about juxtaposition when he question us by comparing the corner wall.What the difference you can see?What the connection between the orange wall and yellow wall?What the connection between him lecturing while student listen?Some of the question he puzzled us although I'm not really understand about it.Easy say juxtaposition it's just about communicating idea.

Some simplest example is melodies.Melodies can trigger your brain sense such as the making the sound familiar.Metaphor in juxtaposition occur when two different ideas combine or connected in an imaginative ways to attract or tranfer meaning. Some quote that pictures juxtaposition,"Life is a box of chocolate you will never know you will get"(Movie,Forest Gum).

Ambiguity Of Creativity

On week 3, our lecturer Mustafa Bin Md.Muzer talks about Ambiguity of Creativity. Creative is a subject that are unknown or unusual that has value,make sense,new idea,new design.(Amabile,Haggins 1965)."Being creative is seeing the same thing that everybody see but individually thinking of something different"(Sherkerjian,D.1990).Creativity produce some work that affect same aspect of culture or background.Some example we can relate is by Johannes Guternberg that create a movable printing press.The idea of combining a uncombined elements prove that his creation is of the most important event of this modern period.The idea of billion dollar, Jay Chen, to save babies by reproduce the baby incubators also one of the brilliant idea which is greatly respect nowadays.All of this inventors are the name mostly likely known because their idea by using existing knowledge and create something new..Playing with creativity is the way that things is irrelated and without wisdom, novel idea maybe "foolish" or "innapporiate" (dickhut JE).Creativity are always related to design and novelty.Design means improving product creativity such as how it works,the shape,its benefit and novelty is the quality of being new.

Creativity

The first class I went to Creative Studies.The class lecturer Yap Sau Bin wearing google green shirt teaching us a lot that day when he talks about all this creativity such as internal creative and showing us one great video such as the one came from Sir Ken Robinson.He also talks about this psychology professor Mihaly Csikszenmihalyi plus about the 6th sense "the gravity".

Demystifying the Myth Of Creativity is the topic for the today lesson. What I learn is creativity is the generation of a new idea and explore variety things.The skills to creative is to design,to think up,creating new inventions,creative solving problem,develop new idea and original without pliagarism.So in order to be creative,we have to be able seeing things differently or in a new ways and perspective.

By doing that, we can proceed our mind to generate new possibilities and new alternatives and new thinking ability.

There are three reason why people are motivated to be creative.

1. Problem Solving
2. Communicate Idea and Value
3. Need for novel,varied and complex stimulation.

During the long lectures,one time that Yap Sau Bin words attract me is when he quote "That experience strengthen me" and i feel like that is a very cool quote.That's all for today :)
